Club History

The “Drogheda Boy’s Club” was founded in 1985 with the aim of providing competitive football to schoolboys from Drogheda and its surrounding areas at the highest possible level. It was decided by the founding members that an Under 12 team should be formed, this team was entered in the Dublin & District Schoolboys League and began life in the ‘E’ division and featured both Gary Kelly and Nicky Colgan.

They duly won the league that year and were promoted to the ‘C’ division, the next season two more teams were formed at under 12 & 14 and every year there-after the club added an extra team, Drogheda Boys now boast 20 teams ranging from Under 8’s to Under 16 ’s and are all plying their trade in the Dublin & District Schoolboys League.
