As the challenges of running a children's football club continue to increase, I am writing to you about some fundamental changes we have made to our payment model.
In previous years the club had operated a cash-only registration and weekly fee system, and in recent years we have failed to collect an average of around 30% of this money (8-10 thousand euros per year). As it is impossible to improve our club's facilities and indeed the experience for you and your child with this loss, we have decided to go another way.
The registration and weekly fee system has now been replaced with a Membership Fee, which is an online only payment that will be available on our website. This can either be paid in full or in 3-4 installments.
The fee is calculated on the projected number of game-weeks, insurance, equipment, and travel needs of your team and actually represents a saving on the fees paid last season.
There will also be a 50% reduction for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, child.
Players in their first year at Drogheda Boys will have the cost of our new training kit factored into the cost of their membership. All members will also be able to purchase any club gear from our website from late August.
Letters explaining the costs will be given to your team managers during the next week.
